Zubin Gibson

Zubin Gibson (born 10 May 1984) is one of the youngest Conductors of Western classical music for one of the Oldest Choirs in Twin Cities at Hyderabad named 'The Tabernacles'

Zubin's father, Late Kenneth Gibson was the Founder Conductor of the THE TABERNACLES, and Zubin received his early musical education from him. When he was 5, he enrolled him under Late Mrs. Surti who was an acoomplished Pianist and later got trained under Mrs. Indira Chary before he moved to a boarding school at Karunya situated at Coimbatore, Tamilnadu.His mother Susan though not from a music background, encouraged him and wanted him to excel in Church music. He was the accompanist for The Tabernacles before formally taking over as the Conductor soon after his father’s demise in 2018. He completed his Grades in Piano and Western Classical Singing from the Trinity College of London.

At the age of 10, he played for a complete church service and at the age of 16 gave his his first Piano solo in one of the concerts at Hyderabad. Zubinis currently also the Church Organist and Choir Master for one of the Wesleyan Methodist churches under the Medak Diocese for Church of South India. Before his induction into The Tabernacles as the Conductor, he directed the Church Choir and attempted various classicals under his baton for over 10 years at his church.
He has been instrumental in training and inducting young organists for the Church ministry and has been instrumental in Vocal training and helping church choirs across Hyderabad. He became the youngest Conductor when he took over the reigns from his father at the age of 34. His vision and dream resonates with the motto of the group ‘Service through Singing’. He believes that God’s spirit can work through the songs that the group renders and that people can definitely feel God’s presence through the songs and music that is produced.
He is very well respected and welcomed in the music fraternity and considers himself fortunate to be leading a wonderful group of Singers and Musicians who love the Lord and want to use their talent for God. He was able to turn his father’s dream turn reality in the 2019 concert where the Tabernacles Kid’s choir happened. Around 84 children were part of the choir that rendered songs in 3-part singing.
His dream and mission is to spread Western Classical music in the twin cities and train youngsters into becoming fine Musicians/Singers who can use their talent for God’s glory. He stays with his family at Hyderabad and is blessed with his wife, Vinodhini Gibson and his daughters Jessica Evangeline and Hannah Stacy.

Mr.Zubin Gibson is the conductor of the Tabernacles Choir from the year 2018, after the sudden demise of our Founder conductor Late Mr.Kenneth V Gibson.

Zubin has played as seasoned pianist for many of the Tabernacles Concerts in the past, will now be conducting his second annual Christmas concert for the Tabernacles after the successful completion of the events like Church concerts and conferences.

Zubin Gibson and Vinodini Gibson are blessed with two lovely daughters Jessica 8, and Hannah 4.
